Brewery Arts Comedy show to benefit Carson City’s Catmandu this Friday
- May 21, 2025

This Friday, May 23, 2025, head down to the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom for a fun-filled evening of stand-up comedy performed by touring comedian Clay Foley for Comedy to the Rescue: a benefit show for Catmandu.
Catmandu is Carson City’s only open-air cat rescue and sanctuary, an independent nonprofit that has been rescuing and rehoming cats from across Northern Nevada since 2014.
Clay Foley began Comedy to the Rescue to merge his two greatest passions: animal welfare and stand-up comedy.
Whether he’s poking fun at his elderly parents or blithely recounting his decade as an animal cruelty investigator, Clay’s eyes say, “Can you believe we’re doing this?” That gratitude – alongside clever punchlines, inventive props, and a compelling stage presence – has earned Clay a spot among the country’s most interesting comics.
In addition, Clay loves cats:
The laughs begin at 6 p.m. and the event continues through 9 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center located at 449 W. King Street in Carson City.
Seating is limited and advance ticket purchase is required. Tickets are $30, and can be purchased online at CatmanduCC.org
There will be a cash bar operated by the Tap Shack, and a raffle will follow with great local prizes.
