Marcelle Williams

Marcelle Williams, age 70, of Enid, MS passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the North Mississippi Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. A memorial service to honor Marcelle’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Hope Church of God in Oakland, MS with Pastor Joseph Williams officiating. Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. prior to service.

Marcelle was born on August 4, 1954 in Batesville, MS to James and Ada Williams. He grew up to be an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. Marcelle’s success came from a taxidermy hobby that turned into a self-employed small business. Marcelle enjoyed spending time with friends and family where he was usually the life of the party. Known for telling stories in a one-of-a-kind way and making those surrounding him laugh. In Marcelle’s later years, his life focused on his faith and walk with Jesus. He found immense joy in attending church and was looking forward to Easter Revival.

Marcelle is survived by his wife, Elaine Godsey Williams of 49 years; Children, Alicia Kellum of Pope, MS, Katherine Austin (Casey) of Courtland, MS; Grandchildren, Joseph Kellum III, Ellie Grace and Hannah Kate Austin. He is further survived by his brother, James Ray Williams (Josie) of Enid, MS.

Marcelle is preceded in death by his parents James and Ada Williams; Sister, Doris Brooks; and one granddaughter, Adrian Nicole Kellum.
