It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lynda (LaPointe) Therrien after a hard-fought battle against cancer. Lynda passed away late Saturday night, August 9th, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Lynda was born in Beverly, MA on June 10th, 1949, she was the daughter to late Robert and Violet (Sullivan) LaPointe and beloved wife to Ronald Therrien.
To many Lynda was known for her optimistic outlook on life. She expressed this through her beautiful crafts, her steady voice of wisdom and comfort, amazing homemade recipes and her love for her family, friends, and animals. Lynda was all about keeping traditions, some of her favorite places included the comfort of her own home, her RV trips to Winter Island and Lake Winnipesaukee. Yearly trips to Wingaersheek beach, Apple picking, trips to the arcade with her grandchildren and all of her wonderful craft fairs. Her genuine care for others made all feel welcome, and she was held in the highest affection by everyone. She found beauty and meaning in life’s small wonders, especially the signs she saw in dragonflies, lighthouses, and cardinals- symbols that brought her comfort, joy, and a deep sense of connection. Lynda was the glue that held our family together. Through every joy and every storm, she kept us connected, strong and whole. We will be strong for her and carry her legacy, keeping alive the love, unity and strength she gave us.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Ronald Therrien of Derry, NH, her children Christine Bousquet and her husband, Greg, of New Port Richey, FL and Don St. Pierre and his wife, Alisha, of Auburn, NH, her step-daughter, LeeAnn Gibney and her husband, Scott, of Peabody, MA, her sister, Debra Woodland of Derry, NH, her grandchildren, Adam St. Pierre, Scott Gibney, Jenelle Gibney, Joshua Bousquet, Chelsea Ashe, Julia Bousquet, Tyler St. Pierre, and Ava St. Pierre as well as several great-grandchildren. She also leaves her niece Pam Kent and her husband, Jeremy, of Madbury, NH as well as her beloved animal companions, Abbey, Charlie, and Misty.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Robert LaPointe.
