A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, 2pm, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Lyle O. Fogleman, Jr., 69, who passed away at his home June 5, 2025.
Fr. Mark Miley, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm on Monday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Lyle was born on August 5, 1955, in Crowley. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree from L.S.U., a Master’s degree from the University of London’s Wye College and Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Law Center. He established his law practice in September of 1989 where he worked diligently for the benefit of his clients. Lyle had a compassionate heart and served many of those in need.
Lyle was a dedicated professional to the Crowley Community. He served the City of Crowley as Alderman of Crowley on the City Council for several years where he promoted growth and development for his hometown. Lyle was past president and member of Crowley Rotary Club, active member of Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce, past president and member of the Acadia Parish Bar Association, past president, past king and member of Krewe of Town Revelers. Lyle O. was loyal to Catholic education and faith serving on both advisory boards of St. Michael Elementary and Notre Dame High School, member of St. Michael’s Church mixed choir, and St. Michael Liturgy Commission. He loved being involved in his community and took pride in the city he was from.
In his youth and early adulthood, he loved riding horses. He adored his garden and enjoyed great food in the company of his friends and family. Lyle referred to his grandchildren as his treasures and was so proud to be their grandfather.
He is survived by two daughters, Lyska F. LaBruzzo and her husband Joseph of San Diego, and Lynzie F. Fay and her husband Connor of Jacksonville, FL; his stepmother, Jacquelyn W. Fogleman of Crowley; three siblings, Trent Fogleman and his wife Dolores of Crowley, Scott Fogleman and his wife Sarah of Morse, and Quincy M. Fogleman of Crowley; three grandchildren, Bau LaBruzzo, Sofia Marie LaBruzzo, and Bennett Fay; and three step siblings, Cheryl Suiter and her husband Mike, Debra Holstead, and Wayne Holstead.
Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Marie Guidry Fogleman, Sr.
The family would like to thank Lamm Hospice and all his attentive caregivers during his last days. Lyle was a great man who will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
