With deep Sorrow and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of our beloved light Luz Maria Dàvila, daughter of Eladia Dàvila and Geronimo Andino. Luz Maria left this world peacefully on May 14th 2025, at the age of 99, surrounded by the love of her family.

Luz Maria was a joyful, spirited woman whose life was filled with music , warmth and her laughter. Her love and pride for Loiza, Puerto Rico, where she was born and raised was a part of her personality. Her love for music was more than a pastime-it was a part of her soul. Whether she was reciting her favorite phrase “ Azucar “ and tres brincos while shimmying her shoulders, clapping to her favorite songs, singing Quiero Brindar Por Ti to family and loved ones on their birthdays, or dancing with her grandchildren; she made every moment special.

She was a devoted Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend known for her kind heart, her strength and the abundance of happiness and love she radiated. Luz Maria made everyone feel welcome and her home was always filled with love.

Luz Maria is survived by her loving son Luis Raul Rodriguez, cherished daughter Carmen Luz Padilla and their spouses Rose Rodriguez and Pedro Padilla; as well as her grandchildren Jocelyn Rodriguez, Anthony Padilla, Tatiana Padilla, Aidamarie White, Franchesca Rivera, Rosie Ramirez and twelve treasured great grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy.

Her legacy lives on in the many lives she has touched, the joy she brought, and the memories we hold close.

In honor of her vibrant spirit we encourage guests to wear her favorite colors: olive green, ivory and black. Please bring a favorite memory to share in a memory book.
