Lucille Blouin

Lucille Léda (Masson) Blouin, age 104, of Stratford, beloved wife of 65 years to the late Robert Blouin, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Lucille was born on March 12, 1921, in Sainte-Edwidge, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Emile and Sophie (Moreau) Masson.

Lucille’s life was a true embodiment of love in action. She was humble, hardworking, and fun-loving, with a sweet and gentle spirit that endeared her to everyone she met. She gave of herself quietly and consistently, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Lucille modeled the values of sacrifice, faith, and a devotion to others every day throughout her life. A devout Catholic, Lucille was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Parish and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America—always ready with a prayer, a warm smile, or a comforting word.

Lucille is survived by her loving daughter, Diane Fekete, and her husband, Deacon Thomas Fekete; her granddaughter, Nicole Graham; her husband, Brian; and her two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Mason, who brought her immense joy in her later years. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Liliane Beaulieu and several nieces and nephews.

Lucille was predeceased by her siblings Leon Masson, Eva Cliche, Aimé Masson, Hector Masson, Dora Routhier and Rose Aimée Desorcy.

In her final years, Lucille was blessed to remain in her home by the loving care of French-speaking caregivers Jessy, Loudwidge, Marie, and Roselene, who loved her as their own mother.
