Linda Wiseman, 76, of Winchester, passed away Saturday morning July 26th in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 23, 1948 in Clark County to the late Afa Clay and Mable “Polly” Ballard.
Linda drove a school bus for Clark and Montgomery Counties from 1978 to 2006. Many past students will remember her from transporting them to and from school, as well as to academic, band, or sporting events. She adored her grandchildren and cooking for her family. She was artistically gifted in drawing, photography, embroidery, and quilting. Linda loved traveling with her friends and family, especially to Myrtle Beach. She was also an avid reader and Jeopardy whiz.
Linda is survived by her loving and devoted partner, Roosevelt “Whitey” Isaac, beloved daughters Nicki Hansel (Snook), and Sonja Wilcox, and one cherished son, Billy Lloyd Wiseman who preceded her in death. Linda has eight beautiful grandchildren, Kameron Blake (Amber), Elena Guerra (Jackson), Lochlan Hansel (Anna), Nova Hansel, Alister Hansel, Halen Hansel, Hali Larison (Kyle), Brianna Crowe, and special bonus granddaughter Ashley Arvin (Nathan). Linda has seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janie Rose (Wendell) and brother Billy Ballard (Wanda), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation services will be held Friday August 1st from 5-7 pm at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel next to Scobee Funeral Home with a private service to be held at sea off her favorite beach with close family and friends at a later date.
