Linda F. Neprud
Independence Township, Michigan
(formerly of Bay City)
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we share that Linda Neprud, 89, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, with her family at her side. The daughter of the late Glen and Elizabeth “Bessie” (Thomas) Haggitt, she was born in Unionville, Michigan, and lived a life rich with compassion, curiosity, and adventure. Linda married Trygve S. Neprud on July 12, 2008, and he predeceased her on November 4, 2021.
A proud LPN, Linda devoted her career to caring for others with skill, patience, and kindness. Beyond her profession, her adventurous spirit led her across the globe—exploring new countries, embracing diverse cultures, and treasuring the memories she gathered along the way.
While she enjoyed many travels, Linda’s greatest joy was always her family. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Rodney (Debi) Campbell; her daughter, Holly (Dave) Watson; her grandchildren, Adam, Kara, and Kyle; and her great-grandchildren, Camryn, Pailyn, Jaxen, and Landen. Each of them carries a piece of her light, love, and wisdom.
Linda’s faith was a guiding force throughout her life. As a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bay City, she found comfort, purpose, and a community she cherished deeply.
Her laughter, stories, and gentle spirit will be dearly missed, yet the lessons she taught and the love she gave will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
The funeral service for Linda will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 North Sheridan Street, Bay City, Michigan 48708. Pastor Chris Garcia will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, MI 48706 on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. Members of the Michigan Tri-City Nurse Honor Guard will honor Linda with their Nightingale Ceremony at 5:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
