Lewis Wayne Rice, 82, husband of Margaret Ann Myers Rice, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at his home. A native of Winchester, Kentucky, he was born on December 12, 1943, to the late Louis Thomas Rice and Mattie Osborne Rice.

Wayne was formerly employed at Bundy Tubing and later served as a court baliff with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. He was a devoted member of Liberty Bible Church.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Annette Curtis, Michael (Sue) Rice, and Susan (Greg) Thompson; grandchildren, Heather (Brandon) White, Wesley (Lacey) Curtis, Ben (Jordan) DeLisle, Kelly DeLisle and Blake (Erin) Hurd; great-grandchildren, Brendyn White, Gavin White, Annie Mae White, Brooks Curtis, Parker Curtis, Beckett Curtis; a brother, Kenneth (Ruth) Rice of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Judy (Dale) Johnston of Lexington, NC; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, also at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Bill Konstantopoulos officiating. Burial will follow in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Brendyn White, Ben DeLisle, Wesley Curtis, Brandon White, Gavin White, and Greg Thompson. Honorary pallbearers include Paul Puckett, Allen Sanders, Palmer Hatton, and Hayluard Baker.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice East for the compassionate care provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Liberty Bible Church or Hospice East.
