Leona Lewis

Mrs. Leona Sealy Lewis, age 91 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, August 18th, 2025.

Mrs. Lewis was born on May 18th, 1934, in Jefferson, GA, to her late parents Monroe Jefferson and Rosa Mae Shaw Sealy. She was a graduate of Monroe County High School, and retired as an Administrative Clerk for AT&T. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and was known for her love of cats. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by daughters Sharon “Denny” Lewis of Gainesville, Teresa Aileen Mills of Gainesville; grandchildren and spouses James and Sally Babcock, Bill and Raisa Babcock; seven great-grandchildren; sister Dora Mae Moss; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Lewis will be inurned in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, at a later date.
