Kyan Arne

Kyan Joy Arne, 44 passed through death into life on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Kyan Joy truly lived up to her name and brought so much joy to her family, her friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kyan was born August 25, 1980 in Fairmont, Minnesota to Curt and Jan Arne. She joined her siblings Shannon, Courtney, and Maren and always kept the family laughing. She grew up in Swea City, Iowa; Galesburg, Illinois; and Tujunga, California. Kyan attended Village Christian School and was a talented dancer on the drill team. She graduated in 1999.

Kyan went on to nursing school in Des Moines, IA and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2007. After receiving her LPN, she moved to Denver, Colorado to work as a nurse. Kyan had a variety of nursing roles working in nursing homes, dermatology clinics, and home health. She always had a special place in her heart for the elderly and compassionately cared for them. Nursing was truly her passion and calling.

Kyan loved her family, her friends, and her furry friends. She loved her feisty puppy Peanut who was her best friend for 15 years. After she passed away she adopted her new best friend Dexter in 2023 who was her fun, rambunctious buddy. Kyan also loved spending time with her friends shopping and cooking out.

Kyan is survived by her parents, Curt and Jan Arne, her brother Shannon (Silkie), sister Courtney (Micheal), and sister Maren (Matt) in addition to her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives.

Kyan will be greatly missed deeply every day, but we take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of Jesus. We will see her again when we all get Home.
