Kenneth Bealer, age 94, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away on July 17, 2025, peacefully with his daughter Deborah and grandson Mitchell by his side at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care. He was born on July 17, 1931, in Rock Island, Illinois, a son of Leonard and Zana (Cook) Bealer. He was united in marriage to Anne Montgomery. They shared almost 60 years together and spent their last years together in Oak Island, North Carolina.
Kenneth served his country proudly in the United State Marines. He went in at the age of 17 and retired from the marines as a Sgt. Maj. Throughout his military career, he was a DI in the Parris Island, and a recruiter in Southern California, Arizonia and Michigan. He served in the Korean War and four times in the Vietnam War.
Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Bealer was a member of the VFW in Oak Island, North Carolina, and the Marine Corp League and the Elks Club in Lake of the Ozarks. His favorite place to play Keno was at Twiggs.
Kenneth is survived by his children Leonard Bealer (Kim), Deborah Schieferle, Kym Culbertson (Rocky); his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his great-great-grandchildren; his stepchildren Rachel Goodman (Rob) and Karen Flaun (Jeff); his brother’s Bill and Richard; his sister’s Sharon and Sally; and numerous other relatives and many friends.
Kenneth was preceded by his wife Anne Bealer and his parents Leonard and Zana Bealer.
Inurnment services will be held in September in South Port, North Carolina.
Celebration of life will be held in November in Kaiser, Missouri.
