KATHY GARRETT
Kathy J. Garrett, 75, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 at her Satsuma residence.
Born in Louisville, Georgia, Kathy had resided in Putnam County since 1980 coming from St. Mary’s, GA. She had worked as a sales associate in the cosmetic department at Walmart in Palatka, retiring in 2011 after 20+ years of service. She attended Open Bible Baptist Church in East Palatka, and in her leisure time enjoyed traveling, gardening, and fishing.
Besides her parents, Eugene Goodwin and Mary Harrell, Kathy was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lee Goodwin; and a sister, Sarah Whightman.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Ronald J. “Ron” Garrett of Satsuma; a brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Myrna Goodwin of Interlachen; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, including one great-great niece, Molly Bates.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Larry Litzell officiating. Friends may call at 10:00 a.m. — an hour before the start of the service. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
