Kathleen Bousquet

Kathleen “Kathy” Bousquet, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was called home to the Lord on August 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 2, 1945, in Queens, New York, to Joseph and Margaret Yochner.

After graduating from Farmingdale High School, Kathy married the love of her life, Thomas. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage, rooted deeply in faith, love, and devotion. They settled in Ronkonkoma, New York, where they raised their children and built a strong foundation centered on family and faith.

In 1997, following her retirement from a career in office management, Kathy and Tom relocated to Arizona, where they embraced life in an active adult community. Kathy worked in room reservations, where she helped organize weddings, activities, and events for numerous groups and clubs. She always loved working with people, and planning was among her greatest gifts. Family, however, remained her greatest treasure, and her grandchildren were the joy of her heart. She especially delighted in decorating for Christmas and baking cookies with her granddaughters, creating traditions that will be lovingly carried on for generations.

A devoted Catholic, Kathy was a faithful parishioner of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Surprise, Arizona. She had a deep devotion to St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the “Little Flower,” and often found comfort in heavenly roses showered through prayer and intercession. Together with her husband, Tom, she found joy in pilgrimages that nourished their spiritual lives, including visits to Lourdes and Lisieux in France, and to the Vatican and Assisi in Italy. While she treasured these sacred journeys, her happiest place was always home, surrounded by the love and laughter of her family.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas; her devoted daughter, Jennifer (Fish); son-in-law, Kelly; and her cherished grandchildren, Erin, Megan, and Ryan, who lovingly called her “Nanny.” She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family—nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Yochner, her sister, Marilyn, and her brother-in-law, Lou. Kathy carried many family members and loved ones in her heart, faithfully remembering them in her daily prayers.

May the angels lead her into Paradise, and may the saints welcome her into the eternal joy of Heaven. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
