Katherine Uhrich
Katherine A. Uhrich, age 68, of Sandwich, IL passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Avantara Aurora in Aurora, IL. Born on January 14, 1957 in International Falls, MN, she was the beloved daughter of Walter and Beverly (Julien) Jones.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Uhrich, and together they created a beautiful life. The couple was married July 2, 1977, and they spent a wonderful 48 years together.
Above all else, Katherine was an adorning and devoted mother to their three children. Being their mom was her greatest joy and proudest role. She poured her heart into raising them with love and unwavering support. Her love for her children was limitless, and they always knew they were the center of her world.
Katherine was a proud older sister to her two brothers, an adorning grandmother to six grandchildren, and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Katherine, affectionately known as “Kathy” was the heart and soul of her family – a woman whose warmth, laughter, and unforgettable spirit made every room brighter and every moment more joyful. Katherine’s home was a haven of joy and tradition, especially at Christmastime, where memories were made and love overflowed. She was the anchor for every gathering and will always be remembered as the center of so many of her family’s fondest memories. Katherine filled the lives of her family with stories they will never forget. Katherine’s legacy is deeply felt – in every warm memory, every bust of laughter, and every life she touched. She will be forever missed and forever loved.
Katherine Uhrich is survived by her loving husband, Richard Uhrich; her children, Zachary (Jessica), Joshua (Veronica), and Katie (Robert); her grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, Elayna, Jack, Adelynn, and Elijiah; her brothers, Keith (Margaret) and David (Corinna); and many nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents.
