Julie Weigley

Berlin, MA / Richland, PA-Julie L. Weigley, 71, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She is survived by her beloved husband, David S. Kassel; one child, Chun An Weigley Kassel Huai; siblings, Charles Weigley, Mary Weigley, and Cathy Weigley & Cathy’s husband Laurence Schiller; extended family and friends.

Daughter of the late Charles and Bernadette (Kohler) Weigley, Julie was raised and educated in Richland, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School, Class of 1971. She achieved an undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and a Master’s in Public Administration from George Washington University. Julie began her career as an analyst for MathTech in Washington, DC, and later served as the Secretary for the Harvard, MA Conservation Trust for many years. Julie was a talented artist, literature enthusiast, and creative writer with three novels published on her Substack page titled: The Water is so Wide. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

A graveside service will take place in Richland Cemetery,105 E. New St., Richland, PA on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:30 pm. Friends and family are invited to gather at Clauser Funeral Home, 116 N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, PA 17088, from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm before procession to the cemetery.
