CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Judy Miller Blanchard, age 74, who passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at her residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Christopher Cambre, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Musical selections will be provided by Angela Comeaux, assisted by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be Amazing Grace, Psalm 23, Isaiah 49, One Bread, One Body, and Here I Am Lord.
Mrs. Blanchard was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro having been a member of the adoration chapel for over twenty years. She was employed with Guaranty Bank, which saw many changes over the years, finally retiring from Chase Bank after a total of thirty six years.
She enjoyed traveling including road trips on their Harley throughout the U.S., RV camping and spending time with her children and grandchildren
Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Bobby Blanchard; two sons, Brent Blanchard and Aaron Blanchard (Sarah); three grandchildren, Olivia, Addison, and Cohen Blanchard; her mother, Emily Laviolette; and one sister, Sylvia Thornhill.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bertman Miller; stepfather, Melvin Laviolette; one son, Clint Blanchard; and one brother-in-law, Mike Thornhill.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
The family requests visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Brent Blanchard, Aaron Blanchard, Cohen Blanchard, Asa Miller, Conrad Miller, and Cory Thornhill.
