Judy was born in Athol, MA and grew up first in Athol, then in West Warren and Brookfield, MA. She was a 1959 graduate of Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge, MA. After high school, fate would step in, and Judy started office work at Warren Pumps where she met the love of her life Harmon “Bunny” Pollard. Those that knew Judy knew her as kind, loving, hardworking and gentle soul who gave and did for everyone around her never thinking of herself. She was a source of light, love, and joy to everyone who knew her. Her infectious laughter, sometimes sarcastic jokes, unwavering support, and deep kindness left an indelible mark on so many lives assuring that her legacies will live on with everyone she touched. Judy did more for people in one day than most will do in a lifetime.
Judy gave endless hours helping others, not only family members, but community members as well with cooking, baking, weekly visits to family and friends, and knitting her very sought-after beautiful handmade wool mittens. Judy loved all animals and taking care of all the birds in her beautiful back yard. She took great pride in creating and planting her flower gardens and it was a special event she looked forward to every March.
The family would especially like to acknowledge and thank a very special and dear friend, Stacie Orrico. Stacie has been not only a close friend and neighbor to Judy & Bunny but has stepped in to help in every way possible since Judy got sick and continues to be there for the family.
