Juanita Ilda “Janie” Padilla,
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories of love, laughter, and creativity. Daughter of the late Francisco and Luz Garcia, Juanita was born June 24, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan. Known for her joyful spirit, Janie was the life of the party with a wonderful sense of humor. She shared her love through her cooking and her artistry as a talented floral designer. Her warmth and laughter touched the lives of everyone around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
Janie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Enrique “Ricky” Padilla; devoted mother of Nicholas (Nicki) Gonzalez, Julian (Michelle Gallegos) Padilla, and Emilio Paul Justin Padilla; her grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Mercedes, Lilliana and Elias; her great-granddaughter, Anylah; and her sisters, Veronica (Luis) Segura, Maria (Reyes) Osuna and Silvia (Daniel) Ortega. Janie was predeceased by her beloved son, Gabriel Gonzalez; her parents, Francisco and Luz Garcia; and her sister, Yolanda Garcia.
Funeral Service will take place 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Pastor Melene Wilsey will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Padilla’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home, where the family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
