Joy Larison
Joy A. (Holtan) Larison, 91, of Oglesby, IL passed away, Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Manor Court of Peru, IL.
A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismark, ND. Local arrangements are entrusted to the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home, Oglesby, IL.
Joy was born January 31, 1934 in Washburn, ND to Horace and Kristine (Nilson) Holtan. She married Oren “Larry” Larison on August 9, 1959 in Washburn, ND. He passed away April 17, 2008. They raised their family in Worthington, MN and wintered in Florida for many years. She spent her later years in the Illinois Valley area near family. She enjoyed baking, reading, knitting, and spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Karey (Marty) Terselic of Oglesby, IL, Brenda (David) Baerenwald of Brewster, MN, and Sandra (Bill) Bock of Duluth, MN; six grandchildren, Derek (Cassy), Zoe (Brady), Kasey (Andrew), Kristina Joy, Justin, and Emily; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Donna Kleingartner of Bismark, ND; sisters-in law, Jo and Janet Larison; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters, and one brother.
