Joseph Herrmann

Joseph A. Herrmann, age 52 of Oak Lawn, passed away June 25, 2025. Beloved science and math teacher, taught at many different schools throughout his career. Leo Catholic High School, St. Nicholas of Tolentine, Excel Academy of Englewood, and Doolittle Elementary.

Survived by the LOVE of his life Shirley A. (Sitterly); Cherished son of the late Richard and Francine (Bartkus); Brother to the late Deborah Bonnes and Steve Seper; Loving father of Jacob, Brooklynn Hope (Matthew Shannon), Alexandria and Nathaniel Salvato; Playful and fun grandpa to Matthew D. Shannon (#1grandson) and Baby Shannon; Brother-in-law to Michael (Tammy), Donald A. Jr. (Amy), John Sitterly, and Candice (Andrew) Gurley; Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
