John Sigmund

John C. Sigmund, age 91, a resident of Cranberry Township, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 18, 1933, he was the son of the late John E. and Dorothy (Rathke) Sigmund.

John is survived by his loving children: Raymond (Kathy) Sigmund, Brian (Carmela) Sigmund, Paul (Beth) Sigmund, Todd (Robin Yute) Sigmund, and Cathy (Jay) Pascarella. He also leaves behind his friend and former wife, Marlene Jean Sigmund; his brother, David (Becky) Sigmund; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorothy Mae Ammer.

A proud veteran, John honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a dedicated retiree of LTV Steel.

John loved his family above all else. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and later found joy in creating stained glass art and tending to his always big and bountiful garden.
