John Schultz

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for John Lawrence Schultz, 88, who passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital.

Fr. Eric Groner, pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cora Lee Schultz of Branch; two children, Brian Schultz and his wife Carol of Branch, and Donna Schultz McKnight of Branch; three grandchildren, Brandt Schultz of Youngsville, Britney McKnight and her husband Marvin Daniels of Horsham, PA, and Brennan McKnight of Branch; and one great-grandchild, Wes Lawrence Schultz.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Gesina Cramer Schultz; two brothers, Gerald and Leroy Schultz; one grandchild, Haven Schultz; and one great-grandchild, Ahni Schultz.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
