John Loren Page, Jr. of Brighton, Michigan passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025 surrounded by his adoring children after a brief illness.
Born in Detroit January 15, 1949 to John and Leona Page, John was a devoted son and brother growing up in Redford, Michigan.
Sergeant John L. Page II enlisted in the United States Army in September of 1968 and served with honor during the Vietnam War until August 1970 in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade (LIB), 1st Armored Division. His military decorations include the Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (with 3 Bronze Service Stars), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert (Rifle) Badge, and Marksman Badge.
Following his military service, he had a successful career as a tool and die maker. This work suited him, ever the detail-oriented man he was.
John could build or fix most anything. He had a naturally inquisitive mind that enjoyed learning new skills and he was always a very active man, continuing into his older years. His sense of humor and disposition toward life never wavered, even as his health declined.
His favorite role was “Dad”, and he was a steadfast, loving and dedicated father. He enjoyed his six grandchildren tremendously. He was dependable and unwavering in his love.
John is survived by his children, Sarah (Michael) Elkins, Jessica (Scott) West, John (Ashley) Page III, Lindsay (Bryan) Page-Decker; grandchildren, Keira Elkins, Hannah Elkins, Gemma West, John Loren Page IV, Ollie Page, Dylan Decker; siblings, Kathleen, Michael, Gary, Ronald, Barbara, Mary Beth, JoAnn; cousin, Bob Wagner; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
John was preceded in passing by his father, John Loren Page; his mother, Leona Dolores (Wagner) Andrzejewski; step father, Michael Andrzejewski; sisters, Patricia and Susan.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 2pm until 4pm. Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 600 East Main Street, Brighton, Michigan 48116.
