John Jarecke

FULLERTON—John M. Jarecke, 67, of Fullerton, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Boone County Health Center in Albion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton, with Reverend William L’Heureux officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

John was born September 29, 1957 to John C. and Mae (Tarnick) Jarecke in Fullerton, NE. He graduated from Fullerton High School in 1975. After high school, he worked in construction before enrolling at a community college in Grand Island, where he earned an associate’s degree in business management. Following his studies, he began working at Len & Jo’s Liquor Store in Fullerton, where he remained until November 2024.

He is survived by his fiancée, Debra Zell of Fullerton; sister, Mary Jane of Fullerton; and many relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Beverly and Patricia.
