John M. Fraioli, a lifelong resident of Mamaroneck, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born on September 21, 1933, on Center Street not far from his family home, John was the beloved son of Gaetano (Thomas) and Genevieve (Jenny) Fraioli. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Being stationed overseas, but his favorite port of call was Brooklyn NY were he would love to be put on SP (Shore Patrol) duty to keep the sailors at bay during the Brooklyn Dodger Games were he got to see Jackie Robinson play.
A man of creativity, John earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute Brooklyn NY. As the founder of the Bergelt-Litchfield agency, he poured his heart and artistic vision into his work. His true passions, however, were found beyond the office walls — on the golf course at Winged Foot where he was a member for over 40 years, and by the ocean on Long Beach Island with family, were summertime of mini golf, warm seaside beaches and custard stands still draw wonderful memories. He was an avid collector of art and truly enjoyed to sketch and draw in his spare time.
Above all, John was a family man. He is now reunited in heaven with the love of his life, his late wife Constance Fraioli, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Peter Fraioli (Angela), Richard Fraioli (Meena), and Janet Marra (Tom), Christopher Fraioli (Kim). John was the proud and loving grandfather of Julia, Christina, Kaylee, Daniella, Peter, and Trevor John, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Family and friends are invited to honor John’s life on Sunday from 2–6 PM at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck (914-698-5968). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
