John Dickson

John Dickson, 87, was born December 9, 1937, in Charleston, MS and passed away August 26, 2025, in Oxford, MS. He was a member of Tippo Methodist church and loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Dickson was a retired farmer and retired manager of Tippo Cotton Gin.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Dickson of Tippo; son, Brian Dickson (Christy) of Tippo; sister, Clovis Dickson Cole of Charleston; grandsons, Blain Dickson (Sarah), J T Dickson; great grandchildren, Wyatt Lane Dickson and Sydney Blaire Dickson. He was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Dickson; his parents, Jim Tom and Nellie Dickson; seven sisters; and two brothers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 2:00 at Tippo Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tippo Methodist Church.
