John Anthony Cimermancic passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on June 14, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of Anton and Ludmilla Cimermancic.
John graduated from Notre Dame High School in Milwaukee, received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Marquette University, and became a licensed Professional Engineer.
John had a 44-year career, retiring as a senior civil engineer at Harley Davidson.
He was as committed to his work as he was his impeccable landscaping, with a lawn that was the perennial envy of the neighborhood.

At home, he was a strong, steady and loving father to his three children.
He became somewhat more relaxed over the years after dealing with his kids’ never-ending shenanigans, and by the time he had grandkids he was happy to spoil them.

He was fiercely loyal, with a close group of lifelong friends. He was the hardest worker you knew, always trying to make life better for his family. While John was no nonsense when it came to work, he always enjoyed a good laugh and loved to relax at his Michigamme, Michigan lake house.
John is survived by his children; John (Silvia) Cimermancic, Christie (Rob) Cimermancic, and Jimmy Cimermancic; grandchildren; Katie, Brady, Lillith, and Greyson; sisters, Terry (Norman) Colburn and Nancy Cimermancic; and nieces and nephews, Paul, Stephanie, Scott, Shelley, and Katie.
John is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Tony Cimermancic.
Funeral service for John will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford, Wisconsin.
Family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Michigamme, Michigan at 4 PM. (EST)
