John Bradl

John Stefan Bradl, 84, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.

Born on June 11, 1940, in Harrisburg, John was a son to the late Paul Bradl and Arselia (Costea) Bradl.

John proudly served in the U.S. Navy, dedicating part of his life to his country with honor and commitment. Beyond his service, he was a devoted family member, a loyal friend, and a valued member of his community.

John will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering sense of duty. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

John was a devoted fan of Philadelphia sports, and his love for the city’s teams was matched only by his passion for connecting with others. He loved nothing more than engaging in lively conversations about his favorite sports, especially with those who shared his enthusiasm.

A hard worker, John dedicated himself to his career until the age of 62, always giving his best in everything he did. His resilience and commitment to his family and community set an example for all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

John is survived by his long time significant other, Jo-Ann Barefoot; sons Roger Bradl (Adrienne) of Mechanicsburg, Michael Bradl (Deborah) of Delaware; daughter Debra Starner (Alan) of Mechanicsburg; stepson Douglas Barefoot (Kassie); stepdaughter Sharon Hont; grandchildren Jessica Fetrow (Brandon) of Maryland, Kara and Natalie Bradl of Delaware; great grandchild Oliver Fetrow; and step grandchild Sam Hont. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Paul C. Bradl

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc, 1334 N. Second St. Harrisburg with the funeral service to begin at 10:30 AM with Pastor Debbie Mahady officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
