Joanne Vigneux

Joanne M. Vigneux, passed from her earthly home to her eternal home on September 30, 2025. Born on Sept 15, 1938, to Albert and Beatrice Dufour in LaSalle, Ontario, Canada, she later married Nelson E. Vigneux in 1957 and they made a life for their young family in LaSalle. Then they moved their family to the USA, living in various states across the nation with Joanne working beside her husband for many years as his trusted business partner until his sudden death in 1992. She is also predeceased by her parents, one brother Stanley Dufour, and 3 sisters: Irene Wilkins, Gertrude Rabideaux and Dorothy Rocheleau-Berthiaume.

Joanne is survived by her brother Gerald ‘aka Pete’ (Judy) Dufour and one sister Shirley Fox. 4 children; Karen du Four des Champs of Washington State, Kimberly (Mike) Crisanti of Chicago, IL, Kathy Turner of Peoria, IL and Joseph Vigneux of Nice, France. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

After her husband died, Joanne spent every Spring and Summer in Canada and would winter in Arizona. She spent the last 7 years exclusively in the Phoenix Arizona area.

Joanne and her family would like to thank the staff at Arcadia Wood Assisted Living in Phoenix, AZ and the Aegis Home Health and Hospice company for provider her a wonderful end of life experience.

A specialized Zoom funeral Mass will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Chillicothe with the date and link to join will be determined soon. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of America. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
