Joan Williams
Joan (Wilson) Williams, 87, of West Frankfort, passed away on Friday May 16, 2025 at 6:46 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born June 24, 1937 in Westmont, Illinois to William L. Robinson and Hilda (Beintema) Robinson.
She worked for many years as a supervisor for the Adult Comprehension Human Services. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort.
Joan is survived by 3 sons, Steve (Renee) Wilson of West Frankfort, Grant (Robyn) Wilson of West Frankfort and David (Pat) Wilson of Benton, 4 step children, T. Scott (Kathy) Williams of West Frankfort, Kyle Williams of Galatia, Jon Williams of New Mexico and Jennifer (Terry) Gossett of West Frankfort.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Curtis (Kristen) Wilson, Brice Wilson and companion Katie Schumacher, Quinton Wilson, Ben (Mallory) Wilson, Amanda (Max) Burke, Daphne (Tylar) Pribble and Darlene (Lincoln) Johnson and great grandchildren, Dayton and Gentry Wilson, Harper and AJ Schumacher, Bennett Wilson, Cayden Wilson, Delaney Wilson, Brody Wilson, Ellie Burke, Eliza Pribble, Josie Johnson and Hazel Johnson as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband John Wilson in 1991 and by her second husband, Dan Williams in 2018, grandaughter, Darlene Johnson and by a brother, Ted Robinson and a sister, Leona Wilson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the #8 Cemetery near Corinth.
Memorial contributions can be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
