Joan Prendergast

Joan F. (Pileski) Prendergast, 84 of Hamilton, formerly of Sterling, VA, died on Wednesday, August 13th. Born on June 13, 1941, in Queens, NY, she was the daughter to the late Anthony and Frances (Cantwell) Pileski and beloved wife of the late John M. Prendergast, who passed in April of 2025.

Joan is survived by her children; Carol (Prendergast) McMahon and her husband, Paul, of Hamilton, James Prendergast of Sterling, VA, and Michael Prendergast and his wife, Shannon, of Oakton, VA as well as her grandchildren; Justin and Dylan Prendergast.

Her graveside service will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA next to her late husband, on Tuesday, August 26th at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
