Joan Breidenbach

Joan Breidenbach, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend has passed away at the age of 72. Born in the Bronx on 10/30/52, she grew up in Woodlawn where she resided her entire life. 

Whether through kind gestures or thoughtful words, she found countless ways to demonstrate her devotion to family and friends. The extraordinary care she gave to our mother during her final years was truly a testament to her enduring love and selflessness. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Joan is survived by her sisters Mary Anne Weber (and husband Howie), and Bernadette Weeks (and husband Chris) and her brothers Joe Breidenbach (and wife Eileen) and Anthony Breidenbach (and wife Nancy). She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, whom she treasured.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard, her mother Mary, and her sisters Cathy and Regina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Barnabas Church, where she was lifelong parishioner and active member of the parish.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY
