Jimm Johnson

Jimm Jacob Johnson, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away at his home on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the age of 69.

Jimm was born the son of Russell and Alice Johnson on July 20, 1956 in Sublette, Kansas.

A charismatic and spirited soul, Jimm was a beacon of energy and enthusiasm, with a thoughtful and loyal heart that made him the friend everyone could rely on. Jimm was beloved by those who knew him. Jimm was a hardworking man, dedicating many years to the manufacturing industry as a diligent factory worker. His work ethic shone in all aspects of his life, but he never let it overshadow his zest for enjoyment. He was a fervent Dallas Cowboys fan, his passionate cheering a testament to his unwavering loyalty. This spirited enthusiasm also extended to the WWE, which he followed for many decades with avid interest.

Jimm had a fondness for the local casinos, where he would test his luck. He was also a regular at bingo nights, always looking forward to the camaraderie and friendly competition. Jimm’s love for life extended to his taste in music and movies; R. Kelly’s tunes often filled his home, and he was never one to miss a good Western on TV.

Jimm is survived by his sons, Chris (Jessica) Johnson; Shawn Johnson; step daughter, Jessica (Ronald) Conway; grandson, Mitchell Conway; brother, Tom Johnson; and companion, Leona Gates.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Johnson; and brother, Alan Johnson.

A service to celebrate Jimm’s vibrant life will be held at a later date.
