Jerry Payne
Jerry Lawrence Payne, a devoted husband, proud father, and beloved grandfather, left this Earth on August 19, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Betty Payne, his brother Gerry Payne and his daughter Stacy Payne.
Jerry is survived by his loving Wife, Sharon Payne; his children, Tracy Alexander (John), and Adam Payne (Avery); his grandchildren Dylan Hooper (Katlyn), Destiny Jay (Bryce), Devan Alexander, Harrison Payne and his great grandchildren Berkley Hooper, Emerson Hooper, and Josie Jay. Jerry is survived by his sisters Vicki Sheperd and Donna Jo Morris.
Jerry was a man who cherished his family above all else. He found great pleasure in spoiling his wife and kids in whatever way he could. He adored his grandchildren, took great pride in his children; always showing up and being supportive, his love, was truly endless. Known for his quick wit and endless supply of jokes, he could bring laughter to any room.
A perfectionist at heart, Jerry had a remarkable gift for fixing anything and everything. He found joy in building model airplanes and in the satisfaction of putting things together just right. His steady presence and willingness to show up for others made him deeply loved by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to honor his life at a visitation on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m.
Jerry’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
