Funeral services for Jed Thomas Kersey will be held on Friday September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Beech Grove Congregational Methodist Church. Pastors Brent Noble and Todd Egan will be officiating the service. The burial will follow in Burr Ferry Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Ski Dzwonkowski, Jeremy Kersey, Thomas Kersey, Daniel Kersey, Noah Baugh, and Blake Lynn. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Jed Thomas Kersey was born to Ray and Louise Kersey on July 23rd, 1958, in Warner Robins, Georgia. He passed from this life on September 8, 2025. Jed was a born and raised Georgia boy, who was stationed at Ft. Polk and decided to call it home. After achieving the rank of Master Sergeant in the Army, Jed retired from the Army. Jed had a love for gardening, as well as spending time with his dogs. He especially adored his grand-babies and loved to spend time with them, whether that involved helping them with their homework or going on vacation with them and the rest of his family. Jed will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Jed was preceded in death by his parents Ray Kersey and Louise Kersey; and great-grandbaby Daughtry McComic.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 10 years, Elizabeth Kersey of Leesville; sons, Johnathan Kersey of Leesville and Michael Kersey of Leesville; daughters, Amber Baugh (Billy) of Florien, Jessica Walker of Kurthwood, and April Walker of Leesville; brother, Elmer Kersey (Kathy) of Warner Robins, Georgia; sisters, Ann Dzwonkowski (Ski) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Jane Tolbert of Warner Robins, Georgia; and grandchildren, River Baugh, Zoee Baugh, Noah Baugh, Levi Kersey, Brayden Walker, Luke Kersey, and Gracie Walker.
