Jayne Thomas, age 86, of Elkhart Lake, WI, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025 at the Waterford in Plymouth.

She was born on September 18, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Francis and Ruth (McCarty) Ashworth.

On December 7, 1957 she married Martin H. Thomas at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. The couple resided in Sheboygan after their marriage before moving to Elkhart Lake in 1971. He preceded her in death by April 6, 2007.

Jayne took pride in raising her four sons. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing BINGO, playing cards, and going to garage sales.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Christian Church in Elkhart Lake.

Survivors include her three sons, Jim (Nancy) Thomas, Steve Thomas (Janette McClellan), Rick (Deb) Thomas; grandchildren, Josh (Trisha) Thomas and their children, Hazel and Simon, Sage (Drew) Duncan, Mira Thomas, Todd Thomas, Ashley (Dylan) Fogeltanz and their children Chase and Jordy, and Sarah (Aaron) Rose and their children Caden and Julia; step-grandchildren, Allen (Brenda) Schilder, Dale (Jen) Schilder, and Amy Schilder; brothers, Bill (LaVonne) Ashworth and Mike (Kim) Ashworth; sister, Pat (Doug) Wrensch; brothers-in-law, James (Nancy) Thomas and Mike Holfeltz; sisters-in-law, Alice Thomas and Debbie Ashworth; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Keith Thomas; grandson, Trevor Thomas; brother, Tom Ashworth; sisters-in-law, Carol Holfeltz and Anita Ashworth; and brother-in-law, Roger Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday (August 13, 2025) at St. Paul’s Christian Church, N8903 Cty Road J, Elkhart Lake, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM; with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 PM. Rev. Ted Mc Curdy will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jayne’s name.
