Jane Wood

Jane Marie Wood of Harris Avenue passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 62. Born in Glens Falls on July 29, 1962, daughter of Joseph Edwin and Dorothy Mae (Hubbard) Shortsleeves. She is the wife of Anthony Wood, Sr. of Mechanicville.

Jane worked for McDonalds Restaurant in Mechanicville as a shift manager.

Survivors in addition to her husband Anthony Sr. include her daughter, Cassy Bushey (fiancé Thomas George), her step sons, Christopher (Lisa) Wood, Anthony Wood, Jr. (fiancé Kayla Jones), Jamie (Leandra) Wood and Matthew Wood, her siblings Joseph Shortsleeves, Leona Daly, Leonard Shortsleeves, Diana Hubbard and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a daughter, Samantha Bushey Coger and her siblings June Shortsleeves and Charles Shortsleeves.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 5-8:00pm at the Mechanicville Elks Club on Park Ave., Mechanicville.
