With hearts full of love, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Glendia “Jane” Hill, who went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2025, at the age of 83.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents Opal and John Clover; three brothers, Don Stewart, Gerald Clover, and Jim Clover; and two sisters, Ruby Hill and Barbara McConnaughhay. She is survived by two sisters, Louise McColgin and Joann Ring and one brother, Johnny Clover.
Born on April 21, 1942, in Mountain View, AR, Jane lived a life defined by faith, kindness, and devotion to her family. She was a woman whose steadfast love for God guided her every step and whose gentle spirit touched everyone she met.
She married Carl Hill on August 25, 1960, and together they cultivated a home characterized by diligence, joy, and deep affection. As the proud mother of Tammy Adams and Tonya Dawson, who were the center of her world, she embraced motherhood with unwavering devotion. Her role as a grandmother to her four grandchildren Justen Adams, Ashley Theran, Brendon Burris and Alec Crutcher brought her immense pleasure. Her influence continued through her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Eddie Theran and Audrianna and Coen Crutcher, who were fortunate to experience her kindness and benefit from her heartfelt blessings.
Known for her warm hugs, kind words, exceptional homemade cooking (especially pumpkin bread during the holidays), and love of her family and faith, she poured her heart into serving others, whether through her church community, volunteering, or simply being there with an open ear and a prayer. Her Bible was always close at hand, and her faith remained her constant strength.
Though we grieve her passing, we rejoice in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the arms of her Savior.
Her love, faith, and wisdom will remain with us forever.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Houston, Missouri.
Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor her remarkable life.
