James Joseph Taormina II, departed this life on May 5, 2025 in San Jose, California. He was born and raised in San Jose to Jim & Ann Taormina on December 16, 1942. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him. His memory will live on the hearts of those who loved him.

Musician and Composer the Leader of the Royal Notes, Bigger Than Life and Electrik Blue bands. Countless songs including Per Domani, Smelly Shelly, Love Comes Late, Jesus, Where Would I Be Without Your Love, The Lights of Love, You Be My Table, The Wind On The Window. Electrik Blue and The Toad to name a few. Touring throughout the United States. He was an amazing music teacher owning Taormina Studio of Fine Arts specializing in the accordion, piano and voice lessons. He loved all of his students. His love and passion for music was bigger than life!! 🌟 He donated his time and talents to Holy Cross Catholic Church and entertained every convalescent hospital with his students performing their recitals for all the patients for the holidays.

He is survived by his husband: Juan Taormina, his brothers Frank Taormina, Joe Taormina, and Bob Taormina his Auntie Ree as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Chapel Service Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose, with Visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the above Chapel. Reception to follow after services.
