James Patton

James “J.P.” Patton, age 72 of Glen Rose, passed away in Dallas, TX on 6/16.2025.

Preceded in death by: Evelyn Patton (mother), Millard Carter Patton (father), and Vernon Patton (infant brother)

Survived by: Sharon Patton (wife), Jason Patton and JB Langston (son and son-in-law), Pat Smith (sister), and John and Kebbie Patton (brother and his wife).

Nephews: Micheal Thrasher and wife Cindy. Tony Thrasher. Michael Smith. David Smith and wife Renee. Nieces: Suzy Smith. Amber and husband Skip Shaw, Kim Humphrey. Grand nieces and nephews: Courtney and Travis Gregg (husband), Lauren Thrasher, Rylee Thrasher, Jordan Thrasher, Jacob Thrasher, Michael Smith, Landen Smith, and Carter Smith.

James worked for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station for 40 years and was an avid car and gun lover.

He attended services at Stonewater Church.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th, from 6-8 pm at the Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose, TX. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 20th, at the Stonewater Church—Glen Rose campus. 

A burial will occur on Saturday, June 21st, at 1 p.m., at the Moss Hill Cemetery in Moss Hill, Texas.
