James Lasser

James Frederick Lasser of New Rochelle, NY passed away on September 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79. Born in the Bronx, NY on April 30, 1946 to Frederick and Mary (nee O’Hearn) Lasser. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 30 years by the NYC Department of Corrections retiring as a warden. James leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Margaret Lasser (nee Sullivan), loving children, Daniel Lasser (Lisa) and James Lasser (Khalihah), cherished grandchildren, Owen, James, Marquis and Kiara and great-grandchildren, Anniyah, Kyrie and Lukas. He was predeceased by his dear brothers, John and Kevin Lasser.

To honor his life, family and friends will gather on Tuesday from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E. Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church, followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
