James Gruber
James E. “Jim” Gruber age 89 of Spring Green passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 7, 2025. He was born on June 21, 1936 the son of Edward and Frieda (Paulus) Gruber of Spring Green.
He was married to the former Josephine L. Haag on June 11, 1960, Jim was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved dogs. He started his working career with Maurice Cavanaugh in the logging business, worked for Edward Kraemer & Sons for 20 years then River Valley Schools doing maintenance.
Survivors include his wife Jo Gruber of Spring Green, a son, Jon Gruber of Spring Green, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Frieda Gruber, a son, Jeff Gruber his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Carol Gruber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.
