James Bryant

Our beloved James was born in Winston-Salem, NC on May 27, 1955. He was the son of the late Arelene Carter Chapman and James Shelton. James was blessed with a long life. He moved to Chester, PA in the early 80’s where he lived out the rest of his life. He walked into the gates of heaven at the age of 70, having been called from labor to reward on August 9, 2025.

He worked at Chi-Chi’s restaurant in the 80’s before doing landscaping which he loved doing. James also enjoyed karaoke, playing scrabble and dominos, along with loving to make people laugh.

In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ronald Coleman Bryand and Arleigh Alexander Bryant; his sister Sandra Lee Blakney.

His leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers Shawn and Michael (Willett) Bryant; three sisters, Janice Bryant, Charlene Pauling (Daryll II), and Vicki Perry Hayes (Charles). One special great nephew, Kyonne Bryant; one great-great-niece A”Lani Bryant along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousin who meant the world to him. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all.
