Jamaal Q S Lindsay, age 44, passed away on August 25, 2025, in the Bronx, New York. Born on December 13, 1980, in White Plains, New York, Jamaal lived a life marked by dedication, creativity, and compassion.

A proud graduate of BOCES with a certification in Automotive Mechanics, Jamaal turned his passion for working with his hands into a meaningful and enduring career. He served as a wastewater treatment technician for Westchester County for over 23 years—a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to public service. His colleagues knew him as someone who took pride in his work and always gave his best.

Jamaal’s talents extended far beyond his professional life. He had a deep love for music and art that was evident in everything he did. Whether he was writing songs filled with clever lyrics or sketching vivid images that seemed to leap off the page, Jamaal brought imagination and heart to every creative endeavor. His ability to bring ideas to life—whether through drawing or storytelling—was truly remarkable.

He also had a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles. Jamaal could often be found under the hood of a vehicle, performing automotive care with skill and enthusiasm. His mechanical talents were matched only by his joy in sharing them with others.

Jamaal’s vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Known for his infectious smile and gift for storytelling, he had a way of making people feel seen and heard. He was fun-loving and generous with his time and energy—always ready to lend a helping hand or brighten someone’s day with laughter.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tabitha Wright-Lindsay; his children: son Jamaal Q. Lindsay Jr., daughters Skye E. Lindsay and Tiana M. Lindsay; his cherished grandchild Braylon V. Lindsay; his mother Marilyn V. Simpson; and father James Lindsay.

Jamaal’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched—with kindness, creativity, humility, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
