Jacqueline Otto Butler, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Born on April 9, 1940, in Rochester, New York, she lived a full and meaningful life, reaching the age of 85.

Her journey took her from her birthplace in Rochester to homes in Shreveport, Louisiana, and Johnson City, Tennessee, before finally settling in Hendersonville.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harry J. Otto and Lillian Agnes Langenbacher, Jacqueline cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, William Burton Butler. Together, they created a close-knit family that was her pride and joy.

Jacqueline leaves behind her daughter, Cathryn Good (Scott) of Brevard, North Carolina; her son, Greg Volz (Perri) of Landenberg, Pennsylvania; and her son, Chris Volz of Branson, Missouri. She is also survived by her brother, William Otto (Kathy) of Matthews, North Carolina. Jacqueline’s legacy continues through her 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense happiness.

A funeral service to honor Jacqueline’s life will be held at ten o’clock a.m. on June 10, 2025, in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose kindness and love touched the hearts of many.
