Jackie Wall

Jackie Wall, 93, of West Frankfort, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 6:15 A.M. at his residence.

He was born on July 25, 1931 in West Frankfort to Leslie Ralph Wall and Theresa Louise ( Garavalia ) Wall

He was married to Patricia Ann ( Hart ) Wall and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2002.

He served in the United States Army in Korea. He was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in West Frankfort. Jack served for 16 years on the School District 168 school board.

Jack had many friends, but was part of 3 close families consisting of the Jim and Judy Bernhart, Ted and Audrey Potepan and he and his wife Pat.

He is survived by a son, Patrick Todd Wall of West Frankfort, grandaughter, Jessica Popplewell of Bluford and by a great grandaughter, Janey Rose Popplewell. Also surviving are 4 nieces, Leslie Ann McGuire, Cheryl Stephan, Jan (Doug) Dixon and Amy (Rick) Mosley and by a nephew, Mark McGuire as well as a special cousin, David (Cathy) Garavalia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia and by 2 sisters, Jean Ann McGuire and Dorothy Boatright.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Father Eusebius Mbidoaka officiating. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery following the services.

Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion of Orient and the VFW of Zeigler. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the St. John’s Catholic School.

As I compose this, I was saddened but glad to know he was the best father I could of ever wished for. My wish was granted and now it is time to turn the page with a heart full of great memories. I certainly will miss him.
