Iuliana Petre

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Iuliana Petre, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother.

Iuliana led a life dedicated to caring for others, both in her profession as a nurse and in her personal life.  Her kindness and strength touched everyone she encountered.

At home, her proudest roles were those of grandmother to her treasured grandson, Marco, and mother to her beloved son, Stefan.  Her family was the light of her life, and she poured her heart into creating memories filled with laughter, guidance, and unconditional love.

Iuliana will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, generous heart, and the way she made people feel seen and valued. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and love that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.  She is survived by her husband, Nicolae, son, Stefan, daughter-in-law, Jodi, grandson, Marco, and many friends, relatives, and colleagues who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held from 3-8PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero, Chicago. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice in Iuliana’s memory. For info, 773-736-3833.
