Ingrid H. Harrison, 90, of Lindsborg, KS passed away on February 24, 2025 at Bethany Home in Lindsborg, KS. Ingrid was born on August 07, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gustave and Marie (Meyer) Hultgren. On September 19, 1959 she married Rev. James A. Harrison in Poestenkill, NY.
Ingrid grew up in Hoag Corners, NY. She attended college at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY majoring in music education with the flute. While at Eastman she began a life-long membership with Mu Phi Epsilon, a professional music sorority. Before marrying Jim, Ingrid taught orchestra in the Newburgh, NY public schools. As she and Jim moved from parish to parish she was able to play her flute in various orchestras, including the Salina Symphony, and give flute lessons to many students. Ingrid was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, KS.
Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Rev. Dr. James Harrison; and son: Kurt James Harrison. Survivors include her children: Carl G. Harrison of Auburn, ME and Kristina E. (Jon) Laha of Wichita, KS; sister: Eleanor (Bill) Komdat of Poestenkill, NY; brother: Richard Hultgren of Hoag Corners, NY; grandchildren: Molly (Andrew Golden) Laha, Jennifer Laha, and Kaylee Laha; and great-grandson: Wyatt James Golden.
Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5-7pm at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, 2:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
