Hattie Katherine Parker Miller aka “Kathy” of Greenbelt, Maryland entered her eternal rest on Monday, May 19, 2025. She was born to the late Veola Parker and the late Prince Albert Sinclair.

Hattie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of the St. James African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and was a member of the Choir, Usher Board, and she was the piano player for the group called the Zionnites.

Hattie attended Red Springs High School in Red Springs, NC where she graduated with the class of 1973. In school she joined the high school band and played the clarinet.

After graduation “Kathy” moved to Washington, DC and joined Second New Saint Paul Baptist Church and later moved to Maryland and joined the Eastern Community Church where she served on the nurse’s Ministry and Member of the ECC Choir.

Hattie worked for the National Archives for 25 years and retired. As you know, she loved gospel music, playing instruments, singing and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Clarence Lee Bennett and her grandparents, Harvey and Florence Parker by whom she was raised.

Her legacy lives on through her sister, Sharon Parker, her nephew, Antwane Parker Sr. aka “Big Baby” (Nicola), great nephew; Antwane Parker Jr., Two great nieces Trinity Parker, Kyra Parker, great grandniece, Sylva Parker. Aunts, Shirley Patterson (James), Catherine Harris, Betty Reuben (Daniel) and Lorraine Sinclair. A special cousin/sister Felicia McRse four Goddaughters, Shaquetta Sinclair, Nicole Patterson, A’ziyah Patterson and Tiana Lefeged and a host of other relatives and friends.
